Depakine chrono is used to treat epilepsy and manic conditions, maintenance and preventive treatment of bipolar disorder.
Dosage.
The dose is determined by the doctor and is adjusted individually for you.
Epilepsy: The daily dose may vary depending on the age, body weight and severity of seizures.
The usual adult dose is 20-30 mg / kg body weight per day. This in most patients corresponds to 2-6 tablets of 500 mg divided by 1-2 taken daily. If desired, tablets can be administered to children. The usual dose for children is 30 mg / kg body weight.
side effects.
Stomach problems, such as pain, hiccups, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Increased appetite, abnormal weight gain, loss of appetite and weight loss. Trembling.
